Happy Sunday Ram Families!
I hope you are enjoying your last weekend of summer vacation and are getting ready for the start of school on Wednesday, August 18th! School starts promptly at 8:27am and ends at 3:10pm - students can begin checking in at the kiosks located at each of the gates starting at 8:00am. The first day of school is a period 1-6 special schedule which can be found HERE. Part of Wednesday morning will include our traditional first day of school assembly in the quad to welcome back students and staff to campus and start the school year as a whole school for the first time since 2019!
Student schedules, with assigned class periods and teachers, should be available to students and parents through StudentVue and Parent Vue starting on Tuesday, August 17th. We will not be distributing paper schedules to students prior to the start of school. If you have a concern or question about your student's schedule, please email your student's counselor:

When arriving to campus, please make use to use the front entrances to the campus located on Tierra Bonita Road. The back gate leading from Twin Peaks Road will remain closed per the recommendation of our PUSD safety and risk management groups. I apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause, but we want to make sure our students stay safe and out of harm's way. Students can still be dropped off on Twin Peaks Road, but will need to walk around to the front of school to enter campus. Please make sure to leave space for our school buses to drop-off on Twin Peaks Road - please drop your students off past the bus drop-off areas! When picking your students up from school at the end of the day, please plan on NOT using the lane closest to the school - this lane is reserved for our buses after school.
All students returning to campus will need to have their parent/guardian sign and complete a PUSD Parent/Guardian Health & Safety Agreement form. A link to this form can be found in the section below titled "Parent/Guardian Health & Safety Agreement"; please print it out and SIGN AND RETURN THE LAST SHEET ONLY! Many of you were able to complete this at Registration this past week - thank you! For those who still need to turn it in, there will be drop box in the main office for them. Thank you in advance for getting these completed before 8/16!
As we begin classes this week on campus, please make sure you are screening your student daily for any symptoms related to COVID-19 before they arrive to school. People with COVID-19 have had a wide range of symptoms reported – ranging from mild symptoms to severe illness. Please remember that symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure to the virus, so please keep your student home if they exhibit any symptoms. If your child does test positive, please notify us immediately. Updated information about the current guidelines and COVID-19 requirements were emailed to registered PUSD families this past Friday; you can also access the updates HERE on the PUSD main webpage.
Finally this week, I wanted to thank all of our amazing parents, students and staff that made our Orientation and Registration events a HUGE success! Thank you for your time, your dedicated service, and making it through one of the hottest weeks of the summer! A special shoutout to our PTSA and Foundation for all of their help in recruiting volunteers, staffing our tables during the intense heat, and even creating beautiful signage for our event! THANK YOU!!

School Year's Eve on August 17th
We are excited to bring back our School Year’s Eve event on Tuesday, August 17th from 5-6PM. This is a great opportunity for all of our new students and families to pick up their class schedules, tour the campus, and get acquainted with our school community before the first day of school. This is an outdoor only event - classrooms will not be accessible on this evening. Masks are encouraged, but optional. We look forward to seeing all of our new RAMS!
Food Services @TPMS
School meals will be handed out at NO COST this school year for ALL STUDENTS who would like one. Students are still welcome to bring their own lunch to school each day; lunches will be served at our lunch windows each day during your student's assigned lunch period. A la carte drinks will also be available for purchase - please know that our food services NO LONGER ACCEPT CASH at their windows. Students will need to add credit to their My School Bucks account in order to pay for a la carte items. Our food service windows are only open during lunch time - please make sure your student brings a refillable water bottle with them to school so that they can use one of our water bottle filling stations. Parent/Guardian Health and Safety Agreement
All Twin Peaks students returning to campus will need to have a signed and completed Parent/Guardian Health and Safety Agreement turned-in before they begin attending classes. Please click on this link: The Parent/Guardian Health and Safety Agreement (Spanish Version HERE) and print/sign a copy for each student to turn-in during registration week. When any students are present at TPMS, masks are required indoors for all students and adults regardless of vaccination status. Masks are optional for everyone outdoors. This includes both before school, during school hours, and after school. The CDPH will reevaluate its masking guidelines by November 1, 2021. Please make sure that your student brings a mask with them to school each day for when they are indoors; maybe even put an extra one in their backpack just in case!
Many of our PUSD families provided input around masking, which will be shared with state and local leaders. As of today, we received over 1,200 comments from staff and families, with 49% supporting CDPH’s current guidelines of universal masking indoors, 34% supporting mask choice regardless of vaccination status, 13% supporting mask choice for vaccinated individuals only, and 4% supporting no masks at all.
