Intermediate ART
The students at Coloma Intermediate have worked together this fall to create a mural. Each student in fourth and fifth grade was asked to design a cube using warm and cool colors. The lines in our designs were drawn using a penny which was pushed across the paper by a pencil. This allowed us to free up our imaginations and make an interesting line design on two sides of the cube. We used watercolor and blended our colors to fill in the designs, warm on one side, cool on the other. These cubes have been assembled in the hallway to form our completed mural. - Mr. Selvidge

PBIS Reward Party
Our Reward Party was a great success last week. Students who met the criteria earned a movie and Carmel Apple bowl. Our next Reward Party is scheduled for December 13th and anyone who does not have any missing or unfinished assignments will be able to attend. The theme and activities are always kept a secret, but I can say that the kids will want to get their work completed and turned in so they can participate. It will be a lot of fun. A huge Thank you goes out to our PTO and the Churchill's for supporting this month's Reward Party!

Tardiness
Students arriving after the 8:10 am start time will be counted as tardy and need to be checked in at the office by the parent. Students who arrive after 9:25 am are counted as absent for the morning. Any class time instruction missed is detrimental to the student’s learning. Therefore leaving early is treated the same as arriving late. Students leaving after 2:00 pm will be considered an “early leave” and count towards truancy equally with morning tardies.
Coloma YDC After-School Program
We are partnering with the Youth Development Company to provide after school programming for K-5 students. The YDC program is located within the Intermediate building and runs from 3:12pm until 5:30pm. They will have a booth at our Open House on August 28th from 5-7pm to learn more.
