News and Reminders

December 16, 17 and 18: The 8th grade teams will be taking their students to the Memorial Art Gallery after 8th grade lunch until the end of the day. Please join a team as a chaperone if you can. This trip coincides with and supports the 8th grade book read, Okay for Now by Gary D. Schmidt.

Holiday Building Hours: You may access the building between 7 AM and 9 PM on December 23, 28, 29 and 30. YOU WILL NEED YOUR SWIPE CARD TO ENTER. Please test your card if you haven’t used it in a while and let me know if you ever plan on being here later than 5 PM, so I can alert the custodians. The building will be closed the rest of the time, but call me if something comes up.

January 4 Faculty Meeting: I know it will be our first day back, but we will be meeting. I have invited our custodians and cleaners to the meeting to be introduced and thanked for all of their hard work. I am going to have a sheet cake made as a small token of our appreciation. I am also still looking for a student to showcase.

Faculty Meeting Norms: We discussed these at Team Leaders and then I never implemented or reviewed them with all of you at our December meeting this week. Food from 2:45 to 2:55; meeting from 2:55 to 3:55 with the BTA meeting to immediately follow; sign-in, no phones/computers, note taker and an agenda at each table with a time stamp.

Ella Schultheis won the Trivia Contest. Tom Wimer was pictured as the 1975 DC Trip Chaperone.
