Library News
MARCH 2021
Meet our New Library Aide!
On March 8, stop by and meet our new Library Aide, Jodi Phoenix! We are excited to have her join the FMHS Jag Family. (sorry, I don't have a picture)
March is Women's History Month
In honor of Women's History Month, the Library is featuring books that celebrate women.
Here are some fantastic resources:
What Can the Library do for YOU?
- Check out books (send individual students or small groups). Yes, staff can check out books too!
- Research lessons and using MackinVIA
- Collaborative teaching lessons
- Curriculum support
- Let me know what I can do to help you out, I am here for YOU!
Need the Library space for your class or need to check out a computer cart?
Please see me in the Library (or email me, or ping me on WebEx). We are making special arrangements due to COVID.
Research
Do you need to do research? The Library is here to help! MackinVIA is our one stop shop for student research. MackinaVIA is available through the Learning Hub, ClassLink on the iPad, and there is even a direct link from Canvas courses.
Ebooks
Did you know FMHS staff members have access to FREE ebooks through the Sora App? On your iPad, go to Self Service, download the Sora app, and Select Lewisville ISD as the school. Enter your LISD credentials.
PRO TIP: Don't see a book you are looking for, let the Library know, we can (hopefully) add it to the collection.
A Note from Me...
COVID, snow, what's next? What a crazy year! Looking back, think of all of the obstacles we have overcome. I am thankful to be surrounded such amazing people that inspire me daily.
As always, I'm here for you!
