Pratt's Primary Corner
Weekly Update- May 10, 2019
Week at a Glance
Math- We are finishing up unit 6 this week and will take the Unit 6 post test on Monday. I gave the unit 7 pre-test this week and was impressed that we were already "meeting standard" in many areas! We will spend the rest of the year reviewing fraction and division/multiplication skills.
Computer Science- We have continued exploring area/perimeter through Lake Erie shipwrecks. Students used tangrams to create their own flag image and discovered that shapes can look different but have the same area. Shapes with the same area may not always have the same perimeter.
Writing- Mrs. Johnson came in this week to teach a writing lesson- she's a class favorite. :) We've really worked on improving our writing craft. Today we did class surveys to collect data for our writing.
No Homework this week!!! Enjoy the weather and time with family
