School Event Reminders for Week 4/7
Pop-Up Art Exhibit, Book Fair, GATE Conf., Square 1 Art,etc.
Welcome back to school after a week long Spring Vacation! Hope everyone had a great time and enjoyed their break. The following are friendly reminders of exciting events we have going on at our beautiful school.
Pop-Up Art Gallery Exhibit to Benefit our School
Please join us for our first-ever pop-up art gallery exhibit and sale, "ExtraOrdinary", sponsored by Voila! Studio.
On Wednesday, May 13 from 4:00-8:00 PM, the Arts Committee will host an evening filled with art, live music, food and drink, with all of the proceeds going directly back to our kids. Not only will the children's classroom art be up for auction at this incredible event, but we will also be presenting works from notable artists that will be available for purchase. Artists such as Shepard Fairey, Ralph Gibson, WRDSMTH, 100%soft, Moncho 1929, Jon Langford, Jeffrey Gold, Ivan Majdrakoff and many others have donated their work to help us make this event a success for our kids. If you'd like to help out, please join us on Tuesday, April 14 at 8:30 AM on the teacher's lounge patio.
If you'd like to help out, please join us on Tuesday, April 14th at 8:30 out on the teacher's lounge patio
Please check out the event website www.WhatIsExtraOrdinary.com to see a full list of artists as well as classroom art that will be for sale. Admission is free, and there will be something for everyone.
We will also have a museum style pop-up store with a lot of fun, smaller items that you'll want to check out. If you have any questions, or know of an artist who would like to donate a piece, please contact Jennifer Tamez at boogichild@gmail.com or Rachel Quaintance at rachelcue@yahoo.com
Feel free to share and invite your friends and family to this fun event! This is truly going to be a special event, and a wonderful chance to celebrate creativity and the importance of art! Join our facebook group, and follow us on Instagram at popupartweho.
