Congratulations to our girls who completed the Girls on the Run 5K run today! These girls & coaches committed to practices twice a week after school for 10 weeks. We are so proud of your effort & accomplishments!

This week are parent-teacher conferences and we look forward to meeting with each and every one of you. If something comes up and you need to reschedule, please message the teacher on Parent Square and call the front office to be sure they get the message. Students are dismissed at 11:45 all week and may take a bag lunch with them.
Our Parent Engagement Policy is included below. Take a moment to read through it. Positive connections between parents and teachers have been shown to improve children’s academic achievement, social competencies and emotional well-being. When parents and teachers work as partners, children do better in school and at home.
WJUSD will be holding an information meeting for families via Zoom for our Puberty Talks curriculum for 5th grade. See the flyer below for more information.
This Wednesday is National Educational Support Professionals Day! We are so grateful for all of our support staff that promote learning and community at Prairie.
G.A.T.E (Gifted & Talented Education) testing will take place this week. All 3rd graders will participate as well as 4th-6th graders who have not tested before.
PTA will be holding a Scholastic Book Fair after the break, November 28-December 2. They are looking for volunteers to work in the store during school hours. PTA will send out a sign-up soon.
Next week is Thanksgiving Break. There is no school November 21-25. Please enjoy this time with your family! Happy Thanksgiving!

Birthday Announcements on the Marquee
This year we are offering a birthday message on your child’s special day featured on our school marquee. For a small donation, your child’s name will appear on our marquee for everyone to enjoy and celebrate.
There are different package deals for you to choose from:
Package A: $20 donation= Your child’s name on the marquee for one week, a birthday crown and 5 golden tickets for the student store.
Package B: $10 donation= your child’s name on the marquee for 2 days, a birthday crown and 5 golden tickets for the student store.
Package C: $5 donation= a birthday crown and 5 golden tickets to the student store. (No name on Marquee)
Your donation goes to support Woodland Prairie Elementary PTA activities and
Student Store.
Please return this form with your donation at least one week before your child’s birthday to the front office. Also, take a photo of this form and text or email it to the PTA to secure your request.
