Are you ready?

We are so excited that you will be here soon! Our staff and faculty are back at work after taking some time off for Christmas. Spring athletes have returned to campus and are busy with practices and games, and a few students are back early taking Winterim classes.


In the Office for Student Development, we are getting everything ready for your arrival. We want your transition to Summit University to be smooth and welcoming for you. We can't wait to meet you!


This letter has some important information that you will want to make note of before you arrive.

Upon Campus Arrival

When you arrive on Saturday, January 9, you should go directly to your residence hall and get unpacked. Your Resident Director will be ready to help you settle in.


Speaking of settling in - dorm life might be a new adventure and you may have some unanswered questions floating around. Student Handbook

Our Student Handbook expresses a comprehensive rationale and guidelines for entertainment, media, community living, and other aspects of student life.

Need to Know Info

Health Services

Please remember to get ALL of your health forms in. Don’t forget a copy of your immunizations and a copy of both sides of your insurance card.

Vehicle Registration

If you plan to have a vehicle on campus, you must register it with Summit University Security. Please bring the following:


  • a valid driver’s license
  • a valid vehicle registration card
  • a valid vehicle insurance card
  • registration fee


During registration you will be issued a copy of the campus parking and traffic regulations. Freshmen students are welcome to bring cars to campus – guidelines for use will be discussed upon arrival.

DINING AT SUMMIT UNIVERSITY

Meals at Summit University just got a fresh new look!


Aladdin Food Management Services was recently introduced as the new food service provider on campus, which means a new look, new options and new flavor for Summit University students and guests. Menus and meal times for students during the academic year can be found here

  • Monday, January 25, 2016 – Last day to drop without a $30.00 fee
  • Monday, January 25 2016 - Last day to change audit to credit or credit to audit
  • May 4-5-6 2016 - FINAL EXAMS

Go Underground!

the Underground Café, a trendy coffee shop and favorite hang-out place for both students and faculty. Once a dilapidated storage shed, the Underground owes its radical transformation to the vision and hard work of the Class of 2000. Students gather in the Underground to enjoy beverages ranging from smoothies, frappes, and juices to a wide variety of both hot and cold coffees and teas. The Underground provides a comfortable atmosphere for students to come together, play games, work on group projects, do homework, or just relax and enjoy conversation.


Bean Books
The Student Leadership Council and the Underground Café have partnered to make parents a special offer. Bean Books function like a limited line of credit in the Café, and are sold at discounted prices to give “more for your buck”. Students can use Bean Book credit to purchase beverages, snacks, apparel, mugs, and other Underground Café merchandise.

Bean Books are available in three sizes:

  • Tall – For $25 you get $25 of drinks and food.
  • Grande – For $45 you get $50 of drinks and food.
  • Mega – For $85 you get $100 of drinks and food.


*If renewed within the school year, Bean Books are eligible for a discounted renewal price of $5 off Grande and Mega Bean Books.
