Parent Collaborative Community
Please join us on Tuesday, Sept. 14 at 2:30 for our first Parent Collaborative Community gathering! Everyone is welcome! This week we will meet with the architectural team from Architecture 118. They will visit about the process and where we are now and what has to be done to get our bond passed so we can replace the Annex. They want to hear your ideas on promoting our new building. We will also discuss how things are going for your kids so far and discuss what's coming. HERE is the description of the Parent Collaborative Community. Hope to see many of you there!
We have had a wonderful first week! I have been so impressed with the excitement, preparation, and work ethic I have seen so far - from students and staff! Thank you for sending your kids to school so ready to learn! Remember that learning in school all day is hard work, please encourage your kids to get a great night's sleep. They are so much more successful when they are well rested. Thank you.
The Student and Parent Handbook has been sent to you and is on our website. We can give you a paper copy if you would like one. This is a very important document that covers so many topics from recess rules, to what happens on a cold snowy day, to how we deal with bullying. Please take the time to read this and discuss this with your student. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact your child's teacher or Mrs. Burke. Thanks. Please sign and return the attached Receipt of handbook form.

PIR DAY - Just a reminder there will be no school on September 24, 2021
Pack an extra mask
We have seen this week that it is a good idea to pack an extra mask for your student in a zip lock bag in their backpack. Then they can switch out during the day for a fresh mask as some are wet 1/2 through the day.

Please have students dress in layers and bring a jacket for the unpredictable fall weather.
Students are encouraged to have sunscreen in lockers to apply for outdoor PE and recess. Students should have at least one emergency lunch item in their locker.
