Partnering with the Principal
CSCOE offers a number of initiatives that schools can choose to participate in or not. Mrs. Lamusga recently sent in some artwork from our students for the visual arts competition. We are so happy that Anna in our middle school program made it to the finals and will have her landscape work displayed for the final judging in March. Best of luck Anna!

PRESCHOOL HEARTS OF LOVE SERVICE PROJECT
During the Month of February, St. Joseph’s Preschoolers have been discussing how the
little things we do for others make a big difference, especially when we work TOGETHER.
To put this lesson into action, we will be inviting our entire school and their families to bring in
donations for Neighbors Inc. Food Shelf, in South St. Paul.
· Neighbors Inc. is a wonderful, non-profit social service agency.
· Student’s may bring their donations to their classrooms.
Monday, February 13th through Tuesday, February 28th
· We will be collecting food and personal care items
THE NEED: Neighbors Inc encourages involvement of your child if you are donating.
Perhaps have them help choose kid-friendly, favorite food or snacks. Beyond that,
currently Neighbors Inc.’s greatest needs are:
FOOD:
peanut butter, soup, oatmeal, canned fruit, pancake mix/syrup, jelly, canned meats,
rice, masa flour, cooking oil and canned corn (or any other non-perishable food)
PERSONAL CARE ITEMS
bar soap, shampoo, toothbrushes/toothpaste, deodorant, Kleenex, feminine care
products, diapers and toilet paper (or any other helpful items)
