Letter from the Coordinator
November 17, 2020
Hello amazing VIC Students/Families,
We are so very thankful for another amazing week with our VIC students and families. Thank you to all of our teachers and staff for all of their good work in supporting our students and families. We appreciate all you do!
Today, I shared out a survey to determine student and family plans for next semester. Please check your email and complete the survey for each of your children that are attending the VIC. If you have any questions, please email Ms. Wrona at wronac@vailschooldistrict.org. Thank you in advance for your help with this!
Over the next week, we would love to see students going into the system and getting caught up or ahead of pace. Starting on Wednesday, November 25 - Sunday, November 29th we will be celebrating our Thanksgiving holiday. During those dates, there are no added assignments. Students that are behind and not on pace should use this time to get caught up on their work, and email teachers if you need support. On Thanksgiving, teachers will not be checking their emails or Edmentum.
As we are nearing the end of the semester, students and families are starting to wonder a bit more about final exams. Please see below for updates to the testing expectations and information. K-5 students will have their Calvert work and will follow the teacher's newsletters for information on this. 6-12 students can use the document below to help answer questions. Continuing with our thank yous... thank you to those students that have already worked ahead of pace to finish out their classes! Way to go!
Our Canned Food Drive finished on Sunday. We did an amazing job and had 92 cans turned in for the VIC!! Thank you to all of the families for the donations.
My last thank you for this week is to all of the families. Thank you for helping to support our students, staff, and always being so helpful and flexible. We have truly appreciated your assistance in building and growing our program this year. Elementary parents and learning guides, thank you for your help with the minute reporting and always being right there to support your kiddo.
Thank you all for all you do!

FASFA - Free Application for Federal Student Aid
Seniors! It is time to start thinking about paying for college! The FAFSA is the best place to start. Let’s start with a little bit about what the FAFSA actually is. FAFSA stands for Free Application for Federal Student Aid; translation: it determines a student's eligibility for need-based federal financial aid for college, which may include grants, scholarships, work-study and loans. If eligible, it can really help you pay for school!
