What do we know about yearbooks?
As shared earlier in a Franklin Flier, our yearbooks are delayed. Our 2019-20 Franklin yearbook was submitted to Jostens on time, last month to be printed. With the COVID-19 restrictions, the plant that prints our yearbook is temporarily closed to comply with government health orders. As a result, it looks like our yearbooks will ship in late June. Franklin PTO will reach out to everyone who ordered a yearbook once they arrive in Mankato to arrange for pickup/delivery in compliance with COVID-19 health safety regulations. If you have any questions, please contact yearbook advisor and 2020-21 PTO President Dionne Kittleson at dionne.kittleson@yahoo.com
What is happening with Kindergarten Round Up?
We are working on a plan to connect in person with families at Franklin when we are able to make this happen.
Do we know anything about summer school?
Need early childhood screening for your incoming Kindergartener?
Minnesota state law requires a child to be screened prior to kindergarten entry. Early Childhood Screening is required for public school entrance. Additional information can be found on our website.
If your child has not yet been screened, call now to make an appointment:

How do families register for 20-21 transportation?
We have experienced many changes in the past few months due to COVID-19. One item that has been affected in the Transportation Office is the registration for transportation for fall 2020-21.
With the closure of our school and office buildings, we are unable to complete our paper registration for transportation that typically takes place in May. We are offering parents the opportunity to register for fall busing via email during the months of May and June.
If your student(s) are eligible for busing for fall 2020-21, and plan on utilizing bus services, please email tbaumg1@isd77.org the following information:
Student(s) name
Student's home address
Student's school and grade beginning September 2020
Parent name
Parent phone number
One email listing all eligible students in your family will successfully register the students for busing.
If your family has moved, please contact the Central Registration Office at 507-387-2125 to discuss the process to update your address.

We LOVE Our Franklin Staff
Our Franklin students and families are so fortunate to have amazing staff at Franklin who give their time, talent and heart in helping our Falcons SOAR!
Check out the final appreciation video that was created from all the student and parent submission at https://youtu.be/SYnhYsQ62Wc
All 105 staff members also received a card last week to their home address sharing our appreciation for all they do. It said, "We may be seeing you each other every day in a different way than we used to... but we appreciate you more than ever! Thank you for everything you do as a faculty or staff member at Franklin!" (see card photos below). Thanks to parents Sarah Liverseed and Wendy Schuh for all their hard work on coordinating this video and other staff appreciation activities this month.
Please continue to send kind words and messages to our staff via email, social media, or apps like Remind. All staff emails can be found on the Franklin website.
