Support Your Timberwolf: Envelope Drive!
It's NOT too late! If you weren't able to return your student's envelope yet, please send with your student as soon as possible! Thank you for your support of our Envelope Drive!
Currently, the classrooms with the most envelopes returned are Ms. Auckland, Mrs. Langer and Mrs. Brown! Our top three classes will enjoy a special celebration!
What is Support Your Timberwolf? A great opportunity to support our children’s education. No selling! 100% of the money goes to Tiffany Ridge! Our Students have participated in a Dance-A-Thon in the fall and will enjoy a Fun Run in the spring. Now, we are having an Envelope Drive, in which your students are raising money to purchase new playground equipment and to fund teacher grant requests for classroom projects. Park Hill funds are only available to cover a portion of the cost for these items. This fundraiser will allow 100% of the money raised to be used for our students.
What is your money used for? The money will be used towards playground equipment and teacher grants to fund classroom projects for your students. Park Hill School District will be matching our funds to replace the older playground equipment! Funds raised will determine the extent of the new equipment to be purchased!
How can you help? A $20 suggested donation amount per child will help us reach our goals, however any amount you feel comfortable donating would be appreciated. All donations benefit Tiffany Ridge students!
Our goal is to have 100% participation, with at least ONE pledge per student!
The classrooms that return the most envelopes will earn a special celebration!
Now What? Please fill out and return the form inside of the envelope that your student brings home. If writing a check, make it out to “Tiffany Ridge” and include “donation” in the memo line. If you are donating online please return the form to school and make a note that you are using the online link. Donation Due Date: Friday, February 26, 2021
Online Donation Link: If you would like to make your donation online, use the link provided HERE. Scroll down to the "Support Your Timberwolf" section.
Highlighting our Pack Point Winners
At Tiffany Ridge, we use PACK Points to celebrate students who are meeting our four core expectations- Be A Problem Solver, Act Resonsibly, Care for Everyone, Keep Safe. When staff see students doing these things, they are reinforced with verbal reinforcement and a "Pack Point".
Classroom teachers also have Pack Point Menus for students to select rewards of their choice in their classroom.
Calling ALL Parents!
Spring is just around the corner and that means it’s time to start teaching about CAREERS! Unfortunately, we can not have visitors in our school to tell us about their careers. I am looking for parents, friends, or family who are willing to record a short video telling about their career, the educational requirements, and some other general information. Ideally, we will have several volunteers from each Career Path, so students see a wide variety of career options. We will show the videos during April and May in the morning broadcast announcement and during counseling lessons. If you, or someone you know, would like to volunteer for this opportunity please contact me at the email below. I can set up a time to record with you (interview style) or accept pre-recorded videos.

Business Management & Technology (Business Path)

Diversity Matters!
- Talk about the differences you have as a family. What types of things do you enjoy that your child does not? What things does your family do or enjoy that other families do not? How can everyone be open minded to learn about things other people like or do?
- Have dinner conversations about how to learn about others. Noticing we are all different is great, but how can you respectfully ask about someone’s differences? The more we know about others the more we can relate to them.
- Practice including others at home. Invite the new neighbors for dinner (in a COVID responsible way), encourage your students to ask others to play with them outside. The more practice they have including others the easier it will be!
Did you know that at Tiffany Ridge we have students with origins from 26 different countries? The flags in our entry way are the flags of all those countries. At Tiffany Ridge we are a school family, and ALL are welcome and included here. With this awesome range of diversity in our school it is a great opportunity for all of us to learn about other countries and cultures. It can also be a reason you might want to look into where YOUR family originates from and learn more about YOUR family history.
Each year in counselor lessons, students learn to see the differences between us and celebrate the things that make us different. We learn those are also the things that make us special and unique. Learning about others who are different from us can help us appreciate them. We all have something to contribute.
Here are some ways you can teach diversity and inclusion at home:
Park Hill's SOS Signs of Suicide Prevention Program Virtual Information Night
This webinar occurs several times. Please register for the date and time that works best for you.
During this challenging year, we have been teaching students about mental wellness and how to seek help if they are worried about themselves or a friend. To help us do this, we are using a program called Signs of Suicide, or SOS.
Thousands of schools have used SOS, and studies show that it effectively teaches students about depression and suicide while reducing the number of students’ self-reported suicide attempts. Through the program, students learn about the signs of depression and suicide, that it is treatable, and how to ACT if they are concerned: Acknowledge, Care and Tell a trusted adult. We also help students identify whom they can turn to at school for help.
Please join us as we share with families how we are using SOS in our schools. We are offering four separate sessions for parents and guardians: 6 to 7 p.m. on February 16, 23, 25 and March 4. Pick a session from the drop-down box. After you register, we will send you a confirmation email with information about joining the webinar.
After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar.
