A Message from the Head of School
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight." --Proverbs 3:5-6 (NIV)
Dear SCS Family,
Oh, what a joy it is to know that we can still TRUST IN THE LORD! These past few months have been challenging...filled with the concerns, challenges, and uncertainty of moving into unchartered waters. But, at the end of the day, to KNOW that we can put all of our trust and faith in the Lord and that He will never leave us or forsake us is comforting and reassuring.
In just a few weeks, school will be back in session! While the year ended in an unprecedented way, we are committed to starting the year stronger with an outlook that promises to fulfill our school's mission, whether that be traditionally or virtually.
This school year will be untraditional.
Some things will not be the same.
We will experience a "new normal."
And, that is okay.
Romans 8:28 says, "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." It's often difficult to see what good will come out of all this when we are going through it, but rest assured, we will. God has a plan. He has already walked these "unchartered waters" and He will equip us and help us do the same. Let's continue to keep our eyes fixed on Jesus!
I'm looking forward to connecting with you all soon and kicking off the new school year!
See you in a few weeks! God Bless!

"For we are God's masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago." Ephesians 2:10 (NLT)
I want to say, "thank you" for all of your hard work and dedication. I pray that we all have 20/20 Vision to guide us through this school year and beyond.
Your continued support and prayers are greatly appreciated.
In Christ,
Teresa Faulkner
A Note from Mrs. Laura Boyd - Academic Dean
We will continue to emphasize Biblical integration across all subjects and to encourage Christian character development.
If you have any academic questions or concerns about the upcoming school year, I would be happy to speak with you.
Sports News from the Athletic Director
Recently, I participated in the AHSAA Summer Conference. Executive Director, Steve Savarese, is still optimistic about Fall sports seasons. He stated that he currently expects seasons to start unless a governing body shuts down the schools. The AHSAA will hold a meeting on July 22, 2020 to establish rules for teams, coaches, administrators, parents, and spectators. We should know much more about procedures after this meeting and will communicate them to you at that time.
