ALEKS Data Chats and Corrective Instruction
"Data by itself is useless. Dats is only useful if you apply it."
(Todd Park)
Data chats and corrective instruction with individual students using the ALEKS Insights and Failed Topics Report are excellent way to apply data and grow students in mathematics.
Algebraic Expressions
Playing games can be a great way to practice or review skills related to algebraic expressions.

NCDPI Content Series
NCDPI Mathematics team continues to provide sessions for the Mathematics Content Series. Teachers, teacher leaders, coaches, district staff, and administrators have responded with overwhelmingly positive feedback. Sessions are focused on elementary, middle and high school mathematics content and pedagogy while highlighting practitioners in the field. Participants earn 2 contact hours per session. Each session meets virtually for 90 minutes with a 30-minute asynchronous reflection time. The information and resources shared are both beneficial and useful. Don't miss this opportunity.

Equitable Grading Practices for ELLs
Have you ever been unsure of how to grade an English Learner in your class? How do you measure your students’ mastery of the content so that they will be able to accurately show what they learned? How do we ensure that we’re being fair to all students in our assessment and grading practices? To fairly grade ELs, we must position them to be able to access our instruction.
Please check out our “Issues and Solutions for Grading ELs” for some suggestions for how to approach grading in Quarter 2 and beyond. For more research and recommendations on this topic, these brief articles share more info:
