Meal plans 2022 - 23

Please note that the Competition Meal Plan is REQUIRED. We are offering a meal plan program to all marching band students for summer band days, game days, and competition days.

The Competition Meal Plan is mandatory because it’s not possible for parents to know when the students can eat. Schedules are driven by the competition hosts. All meals are fast food and will include an entrée, chips, fruit, cookie and a water. Click here for more information.

Summer Band and Game Day Meal Plans are optional. Payment deadlines for meal plans are listed below.

If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact Julie Hoes or Blanca Velez at mealplans@johnsonbands.com or Ida Musgrove @ president@johnsonbands.com.

Open Band Hall--UPDATED June 3, 2022

The band hall will be open Monday - Thursday from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. All open band hall days and times are now listed on the Johnson Band Calendar. Any large student-led sectionals need to be communicated at least one day in advance to Mr. Lucita. This is to ensure that a Director is there for safety and logistical concerns. Individuals do not need to communicate in advance. We are thrilled to have had many students already taking advantage of this program and hope that more will continue. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact us.

All Band and Guard families: Please don't forget to pay your 2022 - 23 Fees

Fees are used to help purchase summer and competition uniforms! Please visit our website to pay 2022 - 23 Band, Guard and School Instrument Fees. We have been able to maintain the same guard fees as last year.

DCI Tour Premier on the Big Screen

Drum Corps International (DCI) is known as marching music's "major league". Band and guard students up to the age of 21 audition for corps located across the nation to compete in the DCI circuit. The DCI competition circuit takes place during the summer months ending with the Championship in August. DCI is also the place that influences the standard judges expect to see at high school marching band competitions. Watching DCI helps students and parents have a better understanding of what we are trying to achieve with our own marching show production:

If you would like to see the debut of the 2022 DCI season on a big screen, Fathom Events will show it on June 28th, 7:30 pm in 3 theaters in this area. Buy your movie tickets HERE.
