Who is José Limón?
José was a dance choreographer that lived in the 1930s through the 1970s. He was a founder of modern dancing. His most popular dances are The Moore's Pavane and As Thousands Cheer.
His life
On January 12, 1908, Culicán, Mexico he was born. As he grew up, he attended the University of California. In 1928, he moved to New York. In 1929, he began to study with Doris Humphrey and Charles Weidman. Soon later, he joined their company.He died on December 2, 1972, Flemington, New Jersey.
