From the Teacher to You
This Week in Class
In Science, we are talking about weather and by the end of the week, your child should be able to record observations about the weather outside, including hot or cold, rainy or icy, calm or windy, and clear or cloudy.
In Social Studies, we are discussing important figures in the history of the United States and the effects that they have had on our history. We will be discussing George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Sam Houston, and Martin Luther King Jr.
In Reading and Language Arts, your child will be learning the components of a story. By the end of the week, they should be able to identify the beginning, middle, and end of a story. Your child will also be able to sequence a story using the beginning, middle, and end of a story.
In Math, we will be learning how to use several different methods to demonstrate their knowledge of numbers up to 120. We will be using charts, manipulatives, standard form, and expanded form.
I am looking forward to this week and I think that it will be filled with fun, excitement, and learning!
