Message from our Art Teacher, Mr. Brunett

Hello Jefferson Parents,

Do you have more buttons than you could ever use? Please consider donating some of them this season. We are off to a great start in the Art Room this fall and I would greatly appreciate your contribution to some potential seasonal crafts that could decorate homes for years to come! Thank you.

jefferson school apparel!

For families that ordered Jefferson apparel, please allow 2-3 weeks after the online store closes for delivery. If you chose the "School Delivery" option, we will be sending home an email on arrival day so you can look out for the products in your students backpack.

If you would like to pick up the items instead of them being sent home, please contact the main office at (715) 345-5418.

Wreath Pick-Up!

Similar to last year, our wreath pick-up date is Monday, November 14 after 12 p.m. in the cafeteria. Pick-up will end promptly at 6:30 p.m. Signs will be posted outside, as well as throughout the school, to direct you to the correct location. In addition, a ‘Holiday Decoration Care, Handling, and Storage Tips’ letter will be provided to help keep your wreaths looking fresh for the entire holiday season!

If you are unable to pick-up your wreath as this specified time, please contact the main office at your earliest convenience. We want to thank you again for your generous contributions.

PTO Fundraiser

The Jefferson PTO is putting on a fundraiser through Central Rivers Farmshed! This is a great opportunity to get some amazing products, support local businesses, and help the PTO enhance the experience for our Jefferson kids.

To participate, head to the Central Rivers Farmshed page and check off some items that can be used for holiday gifts, meals, or to create a special movie night at home.

The online store closes November 10, 2022.

Pick-up will be November 17th from 4-8 p.m. during the Parent/Teacher Conferences. Please contact the main office if this time does not work for you.

Holiday Basket Application

The Portage County Holiday Basket Project provides food and/or gifts for low income and working poor families who would be unable to provide a holiday meal or gifts for themselves and their children.

Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP)

Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP)

    1. This program provides eligible households up to $30 a month off internet bills and a one-time $100 discount off a connected device.
    2. Visit https://www.whitehouse.gov/getinternet/#_blank to learn more.

The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) established the ACP, providing eligible households up to $30 a month off internet bills and a one-time $100 discount off a connected device. The Administration secured commitments from internet service providers across the country to offer high-speed plans that are fully covered -- meaning millions of families can get high-speed internet at no cost. An estimated 40% of households qualify for the ACP, including those with an income at or below 200% of the federal poverty level ($55,500 for a family of four) and those participating in certain federal programs (without regard to income). GetInternet.gov is a one-stop shop to check eligibility and sign up. Moreover, the Department released a Back to School ACP Toolkit with a ready-to-use backpack flyer that schools and community partners may use to help students and their families enroll.

House Number Visibility

SPAPSD Families,

If your child is riding the school bus, we would appreciate your help in ensuring that your house or fire number is visible on your mailbox or house. Please check your mailbox/house for number visibility and that these are not blocked by low-hanging branches or shrubs.

Number visibility will specifically help relief drivers to do their job more effectively by ensuring that pickup locations are clearly marked as we head into winter months with limited daylight during AM/PM routes.

Thank you for your assistance!

Sincerely,

Lee Nowicki
