Superintendent's Listening Tour
Dear Mansfield School Community,
In order to provide families with an opportunity to share your thoughts about remote learning and to receive updates on how we are preparing for the 2020-2021 school year, we will host a virtual town hall style meeting on Monday, June 8 at 6:00 PM.
My goal is to listen more than talk during this meeting. I want to know what has worked for you and your children? What would you prefer distance learning to look like? Every grade, every subject, every student, every family is different and we are trying to meet all needs. This is an opportunity for me to hear from you as we prepare for September and beyond.
We will provide a link to access the meeting that day. The link will be posted on our district Facebook and Twitter accounts and our web page.
C.h.a.m.p.s. Summer Programs
C.H.A.M.P.S. will remain closed during the summer. This means that the Summer Institutes and the childcare program will not be in operation. We recognize that this is a disappointment for students, families and counselors, but we remain focused on our #1 goal and that is to have our schools ready for fall.
Robinson Kindergarten Orientation - Principal Sankey will host a virtual kindergarten orientation for families on Tuesday, June 16 at 7:00 PM. A link to the event will be posted on the Robinson web page, Facebook and Twitter early in the day.
Jordan/Jackson 3rd-Grade Meetings - Principal Nieratko will host a virtual orientation for families on Wednesday, June 17 at 7:00 PM. A link to the June 17th event will be posted that day.
Keeping with the tradition of 2nd-grade students meeting with 3rd-grade students, this year it will be done virtually! Robinson and Jordan/Jackson teachers will "buddy-up" via Google Meets. Students can ask questions and learn about Jordan/Jackson. These "meets" will be scheduled throughout the month of June.
QMS Incoming 6th-Grade Orientation - On Wednesday, May 27, Principal McGovern hosted a virtual meeting for incoming grade 6 families. A link to the presentation can be found below.
Student Medication Pick-Up
Wednesday, June 3 from 10am-12pm, Robinson East Street Bus Loop
On Wednesday, June 3rd, from 10 AM to 12 PM, our school nurses will be returning medications that have been stored in the health offices.
Pick up for all schools will be at the front of Robinson in the bus loop. The loop is one way. Parents/Guardians should drive into the loop and stop at the appropriate station for each school. Inhalers, epipens, and diastat that are not claimed and have not expired, will be relocated to the appropriate school/grade for the 2020/2021 school year. All other medications and expired inhalers, epipens, and diastat will be discarded.
