Reflection from school mass
In today's Gospel, we learned that Jesus is our best provider. Jesus will give everything we need if we trust in him. Father Hank told us the story of when Jesus was surrounded by a hungry crowd. He didn't have enough food to give them. He only had 7 loaves of bread and a few fish. He multiplied the food he had and fed the people. When the crowd was done they even had leftovers! We also learned that the bread we receive at mass isn't just bread; it's the body of Jesus Christ who gave up his life for us. So the bread isn't ordinary AT ALL!!!!
Elena, grade 3
In Father Hank's homily, I learned that when we receive communion, we don't just receive bread. We receive Jesus in our life and our heart.
Marlon, grade 3
Today in mass, I heard Father Hank say that our greatest provider is Jesus Christ. He provided for the sick and poor. Jesus provides for heaven. Our parents provide for us, their kids.

Christmas
Students may dress in Christmas attire on Friday, December 11th. As an option, students may choose to wear ugly Christmas attire that day.
We are planning a school-wide pajama dress down day on Friday, December 18th. Please keep in mind that pajamas must be school appropriate and should meet the general uniform guidelines. General rule of thumb: if a parent, or student, questions whether their clothing is unacceptable, the student should probably wear something else.
*As with all dress down days, administration reserves the right to require the student to change if clothes are deemed inappropriate for school.
Afternoon Carline Middle School
If you arrive in the parking lot before 3:10pm, we strongly encourage you to pull over to the side before entering the line of cars. This will assure that your child's class has the computer on and is watching for his/her name to be called. Thank you for your assistance in this matter.

Gospel Reading This Sunday
Gospel for Sunday, Dec. 6:
A reading from the Gospel according to Mark
(Mark 1:1-5)
The beginning of the good news of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. As it is written in the prophet Isaiah, "See, I am sending my messenger ahead of you, who will prepare your way; the voice of one crying out in the wilderness: "Prepare the way of the Lord, make his paths straight,;" John the baptizer appeared in the wilderness,. proclaiming a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins. And people from the whole Judean countryside and all the people of Jerusalem were going out to him, and were baptized by him in the river Jordan, confessing their sins.

Eagle's Perch Billing
Some of you have already noticed that we are billing for before and aftercare a little differently.
This is done through your FACTs account now. It does not affect your tuition account at all but you do have the option of paying online and even auto pay. Those charges are still created every Monday. If you are set up on auto pay your invoices will automatically be paid 10 days after that. If you are not set up on auto pay you do not have to come to the front office or send payments in with your child. You can log on and make those payments through the financial section of your parent portal. ( FACTs ). If you have any questions please reach out to Mrs. Brown @ sbrown@stjosephwhschool.org or Ms. Summer @ sdehaven@stjosephwhschool.org.
