The most common device damage we are seeing is damaged iPad screens.

Please consider purchasing the $20 Device Insurance for the 2023-24 School Year. If your child's iPad is damaged (example: cracked screen) and if no insurance has been purchased the damages could cost betwren $100-200. The device insurance covers one damage and after it is exhausted another device insurance can be purchased.

Students:

• All Students are to arrive to school as normal: through the front main gates. Front gates open at 8:35. Students are to go directly to the front class upon entering the gates. Students do not bring backpacks to school on this day.

Parents:

• The side gate (near BASES) will open at 8:15am for families to set-up chairs/blankets for promotion. Gates will open at 8:15am, promotion starts promptly at 9:00am
• ONLY adults and non school age students to arrive thru side gate. RES students need to arrive at front of school main gates at regular arrival time.
• Promotion is picnic-style: bring your own chairs/blankets to view ceremony.
• Once you enter the gates you will not be able to leave and re-enter. So, make sure you bring your camera, phones, jackets, etc.
  
• Do not bring balloons, coolers, backpack , food or beverages. These items will not be allowed into the field. Only unopened water bottles will be allowed.
• Do not bring any items that will block viewing the student presentation.
• Adorning of Leis and Kukui Necklaces, Etc will not be permitted during the Promotion Ceremony. Parents/Visitors may hold these items for students to wear for photo opportunities following the ceremony.
  
• Parents will check out their student at their teacher's photo location after Promotion by signing the student out on the Teacher Roster sign-out document.

Promotion is a celebration of achievement. Attire for promotion will be casual and reflective of a daily school outfit with a touch of "polish" as we will spoltlight our Roadunners. Students will wear their 5th Grade Promotion Tshirts. T-shirts will not be altered in anyway. Skirts/dresses and shorts need to be appropriate ( no shorts with holes). Pants with holes are not permitted. School appropriate shoes required (no flip-flops, heels, combat boots, etc). No hats will be worn for promotion. Face make-up is not appropriate for elementary to include promotion.

~Rancho siblings in grades TK-4 can attend Promotion only if supervised by parents/guardians. For siblings in grades 1st-4th they will need to line up with their class when the bell rings and check in with their teacher for attendance and then can return to the field with parents to view Promotion.

~Cookies & Juice will be provided by PTA after Promotion and will be located on the grass field (not the MPR)

~After the Promotion Ceremony, students can take a photo opportunity with their classroom teacher at the designated photo spot.

~5th Grade Students ONLY can be checked out after Promotion with their 5th grade teacher. Parents must sign-out student on the student roster the teacher will have (NOT the front office).

~We recommend having siblings remain at school the remainder of the school day as their classes are engaging in fun end of the year activities too. If you need to check them out, please do so in the front office and be patient as this coud take some time.
