Letter from Mrs. Trent, Principal
Thanksgiving is a time to be thankful for all we have, but “THANKSLIVING” is a way of life that if implemented could improve the quality of life not only for you and me, but for others. Do you live in a “THANKSLIVING” way?
I love Thanksgiving because it is a time of year when families and friends come together. It is a time when the days are shorter and the nights cooler, but we feel warmed by the love of those who around us.
There are thousands of people worldwide that would gladly trade their lives for ours-- a life full of opportunity that just doesn't exist in their world. We who complain so often are the same ones that have more than others could even imagine. We who take for granted what we see and do every day always wanting more. The simple things we should be thankful for we ignore. We assume the simple pleasures we take advantage of will always be there. However, when we express gratitude and appreciation, we change our mindset. When we feel grateful for everything we have, no matter how small it is, we receive will receive so much more.
“Gratitude opens up your heart and your mind allowing you to reflect on the good that has happened to you which in turn makes you happy and drives contentment in your life”. Bola Onada Sokunbi, Goal Setting To Live Your Dreams
I am incredibly grateful for each of you! I appreciate your involvement in our school and the support provided for your children and our staff. Our school family is special and we recognize how fortunate we are to be a part of such an amazing community.
Happy Fall and Happy Thanksgiving!
-Mrs. Trent
