Darcy's sister warns her not to trust Wickham while Wickham says the same about Darcy. This causes a lot of confusion for Elizabeth and creates more tension in the story line.

When Elizabeth refuses Mr. Collins he kept saying things like she wasn't serious about rejected him and he know she was just trying to be a good woman. This shows the type of man Mr. Collins is because he doesn't believe a woman when she tells him no.

Jane thought that Mr. Bingley's sisters were nice and now she's starting to realize they aren't good people because they are purposely getting Mr. Bingley away from her so he can't propose to her and marry someone of lower social class. Jane is starting to realize not everyone is a good person.
