- Sign-up in GROW is required for each class (24 hours in-advance)
- Employees are compensated for training attendance. As such, accommodations are unavailable for guests and children
- Multi Factor Authentication is necessary to access your district email. Ensure that your account is set to your cell phone and it is with you the day of training

Course Descriptions
Google Drive Basics and Google Navigation: Level 1 Grow Course #11724
This hands-on, interactive training will familiarize the participant with creating, locating, sharing, organizing, uploading, and downloading files and folders in Google Drive. Participants will also receive an overview of Gmail, Google Search, and Google Calendar.
Google Forms Basic: Level 1 Grow Course #11725
This training will introduce participants to the basics of creating, customizing, and delivering a Google Form for data collection, as well as the management of the Google Sheet that collects the data.
Google Forms Advanced: Level 2 Grow Course #11726
This training is designed for Google Form users who want to do more with forms than just the basics. Participants will learn how to use branch logic and incorporate a variety of add-ons and extensions. A solid understanding of Google Forms basics and Google Sheets is highly recommended for this course.
Google Sheets Visualizing Data: Level 2 Grow Course #11727
This is a Level 2 Google Sheets class, do not sign up for this class unless you have Google Sheets or Excel experience. Google Sheets is a powerful spreadsheet application that allows you to analyze data in a variety of ways. Combined with Google Forms, Sheets allows you to collect data that can be examined using multiple built-in features. In this course, you will learn to visualize and analyze data within Sheets using sorting and filtering, charts and graphs, conditional formatting, and pivot tables.
Excel/Sheets Common Formulas and Tricks: Level 2 Grow Course #11728
This is a Level 2 Google Sheets class, do not sign up for this class unless you have Google Sheets or Excel experience. Participants will need to have a basic knowledge of Excel or Google Sheets. This level 2 class will go over common formulas that can increase productivity and data analysis. Skills like Vlookup, absolute and relative value, Countif, and so much more will be covered in this class.
CustomGuide Workshop: Excel: Level 1 Grow Course #11729
In this hybrid training, participants will go through a playlist of Excel basic interactive video tutorials and then put their new skills to use in multiple projects during the training. This course is perfect for someone who has no or very little Excel experience.
CustomGuide Workshop: Sheets: Level 1 Grow Course #11730
In this hybrid training, participants will go through a playlist of Google Sheets basic interactive video tutorials and then put their new skills to use in multiple projects during the training. This course is perfect for someone who has no or very little Google Sheets experience.
CustomGuide Workshop: Slides: Level 1 Grow Course #11731
In this hybrid training, participants will go through a playlist of Google Slides interactive video tutorials and then put their new skills to use in multiple projects during the training. This course is perfect for someone who has no or very little Google Slides experience.
What is Canva and what can I do with it?: Level 1 Grow Course #11732
This course is open to anyone interested in creating and designing digital materials for social media platforms, marketing and outreach, internal office/school distribution, and print. Participants will learn how to log in using their MPS Canva account, navigate through the website, discover the multitude of user-friendly resources offered and how to put them into practice. Attendees will also engage in collaborative and individual designs.
New Google Sheets: Advanced Formulas & Queries Level 3 Grow Course #12172
In this Level 3 Google Sheets class, participants need a working knowledge of formulas and functions, including vlookup. This class will expand on vlookup capabilities, sort and filter functions, and dive into queries and how they are used to compile data.
New Adobe Acrobat Pro Grow Course #12173
This course is open to department/school Secretaries, Office Specialists/Registrars, and Special Education and Title 1 clerks. This course provides attendees with 24 months of access to the premium version of Adobe for Enterprise. This license includes access to premium programs such as Photoshop, Premiere Pro and Premiere Rush. In this course you will leverage Adobe Acrobat Pro to create new PDF files or edit existing PDFs, as well as combining files into one PDF. One of the most helpful tools within Acrobat Pro and included in this training is the ability to create fillable PDFs as well as convert existing Word Document files to PDF.
New Adobe Express: Design It Grow Course #12148
Now anyone can easily make standout social graphics, flyers, logos, and more with Adobe Creative Cloud Express. This cloud-based media creation application makes it easy for anyone to create. Get started with tons of professionally designed templates and assets for social media content, logos, and more. With an agreement between Adobe and MPS, every student/staff have access to this program. Take this course to learn how to start your creative journey with Adobe Express.
New Computer Fundamentals: Level 1 Grow Course #12171
This training is an introductory overview of computer equipment, terminology, and technology. Participants will acquire the knowledge and concepts of computer usage essential to their roles within education. Learners will receive a fundamental foundation in computer navigation, including logging on/off, mouse functions, and navigating a web page and its components.

FAQ
Are you offering any online classes?
- No, all the opportunities are in-person and located at the training lab on Stapley.
Are the trainings offered mandatory?
- No, they are offered as an option to Mesa Public School classified staff to advance their skillset in their current position or learn new skills for job advancement.
Can I take a level 2 or 3 class without having any experience in the subject?
- No, please do not sign up for a level 2 or 3 class without prior experience.
How is my time at training being paid? Will it come out of my school/department funds?
- No, Educational Technology was awarded an ESSER grant to be able to pay employees who are hourly to attend. Hourly classified employees will be paid their regular hourly rate for each training.
I am a classified exempt employee, can I still attend a training?
- Yes, you can attend with your supervisor's approval - the training will just count as part of your regular workday.
What happens if I attend a class and it puts me into overtime for that week?
- The ESSER grant will pay for any overtime incurred.
How do I get paid?
- At the time of training, there will be a special code you will clock in using, payment will follow the regular payroll schedule.
What can I do if the training I would like to attend is currently full?
- Keep checking GROW, from one week before and/or one to two days before. Spots are always opening up. You have up to 24 hours before the training to sign up.
I can't attend a class I signed up for, what do I do?
- Log back into GROW as soon as you know you can't attend and withdraw from the class, this will give others an opportunitiy to sign up. If it's the day of training, please email Liz or Nicki.
To withdraw from a class, log into GROW, click on Courses (1), click on Manage And Withdraw From Courses (2), click on the caret arrow under Action (3), and click on Withdraw (4).
