Tuesday Tech Talk Newsletter
5 November 2013
Welcome!
I'm trying a new technology to deliver the weekly newsletter. I produced this week's newsletter using the new Web 2.0 tool called Smore which allows for the creation of newsletters, posters, and other media types. I thought it might jazz up a boring old text email. Let me know if you like this new format. And try Smore out for yourself - it would be terrific for students to use to demonstrate knowledge.
SpeakUp Survey - TIP for SIP
Forget the acronyms, here's what you need to know! The school with the highest percentage of it's population participating in the SpeakUp Survey will receive a Technology Incentive Package (TIP) based on their School Improvement Plan's (SIP) defined needs. Here is where the North District stands:
- DELAWARE: 0 students, 0 teachers, 0 parents, 0 administrators
- NORTH HIGH: 0 students, 0 teachers, 1 parents, 0 administrators
- NORTH JR HIGH: 0 students, 0 teachers, 0 parents, 0 administrators
- OAK HILL: 3 students, 0 teachers, 0 parents, 0 administrators
- SCOTT: 677 students, 2 teachers, 0 parents, 0 administrators
- VOGEL: 0 students, 0 teachers, 0 parents, 0 administrators
Here are the details you need to participate:
- Secret word for all schools in EVSC is available from me
So get the word out to parents/guardians via newsletters, and make sure you do the survey yourself. Let's bring the TIP to the North District!
Question For The Week...
'A child's life is like a piece of paper on which every person leaves a mark.' - Chinese proverb
What kind of mark did you leave today?
