Fundraiser for Paradise, California Contiues

The Jefferson Helping Hands Club is collecting money donations to send to California families affected by the recent fires.

Jefferson has a personal connection to Paradise, CA as it is the hometown of our librarian Kathryn Melivn. Mrs. Melvin has traveled twice to Chico, CA to take care of her evacuated family and to provide support to other members of her hometown community. All money collected will purchase grocery store gift cards to distribute directly to families in Paradise by Mrs. Melvin. There is a donation jar in the front office. Anything helps!

If you have any questions, please contact Megan McQueen.

Design Advisory Committee for Jefferson Elementary School

Hello Jefferson Community -

I need your help in finding parents and members of our neighborhood to volunteer for this important committee. The Design Advisory Committee is composed of 12-15 members including key staff, students and members of school stakeholder groups, including neighborhood association representation.

This committee will be facilitated by bond program architects and will serve as an advisor to the design professionals. The Jefferson Design Advisory Committee will be established in January and will continue at least through the life of the bond projects at our school. Meetings will take place monthly and have not yet been scheduled. Projects for Jefferson Elementary are listed HERE.

If you are interested in serving on this committee, please complete the application available at the following link: https://www.csd509j.net/bond-program/application-for-design-advisory-committee/ . If you know of a neighbor who would be a great fit for this committee, please send them this link to apply.

Please call the Jefferson main office if you have questions or need assistance with the application. Remember the deadline to apply is November 30.
