Literacy-O_Lanterns Collection Update
As of 5:30 pm on Thursday evening, we have collected a total of $799.47 to purchase books for the Ervin Early Learning Center!! Money has been raised by donations from CCE families voting for their favorite Literacy Lantern during library class. The books will be purchased from our Book Fair opening Saturday, December 1st at Winter Wonderland. We have three school days remaining to vote so get your donations brought to school ASAP!!
Many families have begun to inquire about other ways to help the Early Learning Center. Our Book Fair team plans to host a book drive the week of the Book Fair (Saturday, December 1 & Monday, December 3-Friday, December 7) collecting new or gently used books appropriate for pre-k and kindergarten students. Watch for information coming to your inbox soon with details!

Opportunity to Play Kindergarten Girls Basketball
Looking to put together a team for Clear Creek Kindergarten girls to play basketball together this winter. The ultimate goal of the team will be to have FUN while learning the basics of basketball, making some new friends and of course learning good sportsmanship. Specifics of the season will be determined once we have a good idea of interested girls. Please contact either of us below if interested.

A Message From Nurse Amanda
Health Alerts – A Notification, Not an Alarm
With Skyward, a wealth of information is available including Health Alerts. If enabled, a notification will be sent to your email any time the nurse charts in your student’s health file. For some parents, this notification can be alarming so I wanted to explain.
Everything your nurse does is documented, even something simple like chapstick or lotion. The nurse also may chart information like a fax from the doctor, immunizations or an email from you, even if your student is well. All of these scenarios will trigger a Health Alert.
Please be confident that if your child has a concerning health problem or is ill, I will make contact with you. If you get a Health Alert notification, you can easily check online for more information. On your computer (NOT from your phone!), open Skyward Family Access. Select:
“Health Info” à “Display Options” à “Show Office Visits.”
As your nurse, I always welcome your calls and emails. However, I want to emphasize, I will always contact you if your child needs to go home, needs further medical attention, or simply needs follow up from you at home.
