Introduction
Hello Rangers,
We wanted to start this newsletter in efforts to support our community. Now more than ever, we need to be taking care of our selves and what is more important than our mental health. We have not had the privilege of meeting many of you and we want to correct that. We want to make sure you know that we are still here to help lift up our Ranger family.

Hi I am Donna Gibbs an elated mental health counselor for FBISD and most importantly a member of the Clements Ranger family. I have been a mental health counselor since 2013 and enjoy working with children adolescents, and families who are passionate about making positive changes in their lives. It is a joy working with studious intellects of Clements High School. In my down time I enjoy the rays of the sun by engaging in outdoor activities.

Mindfulness Tip of the Week :
First: Why Mindfulness:
Mindfulness is an active practice of focusing on the present. It can help decrease stress and rumination. It is a chance to connect to yourself and quiet the thoughts that can often overwhelm us.
Practice Self Compassion
Step one:
Be mindful: Connect to the present. Observe thoughts as neither good or bad.
Step two:
Speak kindly to yourself and about what you are going through.
Step three:
Remember you are not alone. Reach out to someone you trust for support.
