Important Attendance Information
We can only accept 5 parent written notes per semester. After 5, a doctor's or legal excuse is required in order for the absence to be consider "excused" (ACS policy which can be found in the Pupil Progression Plan on the ACS website). Attendance can be checked through the Parent Portal.
Also, when excuses are being submitted, a reason for the absence must be given. If no reason is given, the date will be marked as unexcused.
Please remember that our morning drop off begins at 7:00 am. We cannot receive students before 7:00 because there are not staff members on duty, and it creates an unsupervised situation.

Yarbrough Classes Spread Kindness
Mrs. Ramey’s 4th grade class will go to the nursing home, Arbor Springs, on Wednesday night to spread some joy this season. They will deliver homemade cards, personally written to each resident there, along with a teddy bear. They hope to sing a carol or two! For fun, the class will celebrate afterwards by getting ice cream so they can talk about their shared experience.
Mrs. Mooty's 3rd grade class has invited the whole school to participate in "Mission Kindness." The next time you are at Yarbrough, stop by their bulletin board on A Wing and see all the ways students and teachers are catching others being kind.
Media Memos with Mrs. McGilberry
As the semester comes to a close, we need to account for all of our books. We will be sending overdue notices home for those that are really overdue. We appreciate your help in getting the books back to the library. If your child has truly lost the book, we would appreciate you going ahead and paying for it so that we can replace it and allow your child to check out books in the future. If you have any questions or concerns please don’t hesitate to call or email me at lomcgilberry@auburnschools.org.

Habit 7: Sharpen The Saw
Key Phrase: Balance Feels Best
What this habit looks like in action: I take care of my body by eating right, exercising and getting sleep. I spend time with family and friends. I learn in lots of ways and lots of places, not just at school. I find meaningful ways to help others.
Manner Focus: Listen to others when they are talking to you. Make eye contact and verbally respond back.
