Dalai Lama
Spiritual Leader of the Tibetan tribe
Information about the 14th Dalai Lama
The 14th Dalai Lama was born in July of 1935 and was called to be the 14th Dalai Lama at the age of 15. The Dalai Lama describes himself as a simple Buddhist monk. He began his monastic education at the age of six. The curriculum consisted of five major and five minor subjects. The major subjects were logic, Tibetan art and culture, Sanskrit, medicine, and buddhist philosophy which was further divided into five catagories. The five minor subjects were poetry, music and drama, astrology, composition and phrasing, and synonyms. The Dalai Lama learned multiple leader traits when in school so when the time came he would know how to lead the Tibetan tribe. The different leader skills helped in different ways, when he needed to be a good leader he knew how to talk to everyone, other times he would need to know how to help support the tribe and help guide others, and he would also need to know how to get along with others to keep everything going well and have small problems within the tribe. some traits that I think that I share with the current and past Dalai Lamas' are knowing how to support and help guide others and how to talk to everyone, having some of these traits can help in future jobs.
