Friday Flyer
Second Grade
Dear Parents,
Thank you to Colette, Emma, Jamie, Maya, and John for driving and chaperoning on our field trip to Brookside Nature Center, and to Tanya and Larissa for providing extra booster seats! The children learned more about how Eastern Woodlands Native Americans lived during traditional times and asked many interesting questions. They played games that Native children played hundreds of years ago, as well as learned how to make cordage.
Next Tuesday is Halloween and our tradition of the Halloween Parade will take place at 9:00 am. Please have your children already dressed in their costumes when they arrive at school. Our class will have a party afterwards. Thanks in advance to the parents bringing in snacks, drinks, and paper products for our party!
Our word study homework on Wednesdays is "sort and click." On these nights, please take a photo of your child's word sort and email the sort to only his/her word study teacher.
Questions:
- What is your "small moment story" for your personal narrative?
- What did you do for coding this week?
- Which book about bats did you choose for book clubs? What did you learn about bats?
Have a wonderful weekend!
Emilia and Rachel
