DAYTON MONTGOMERY COUNTY SCHOLARSHIPS (DMCSP)
DAYTON FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIPS
MIAMI VALLEY TECH PREP SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION (SINCLAIR COMMUNITY COLLEGE)
To qualify for the scholarship students must:
- Earn a cumulative high school grade point average (GPA) of a 2.25 Junior year and the first semester of Senior year.
- Complete three or more career technical education courses, or two courses in a single pathway, and graduate from high school.
- Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) annually. Other financial aid must be used prior to using the Sinclair Tech Prep Scholarship.
- Be enrolled in a minimum of 12 credit hours per semester to be eligible for full scholarship benefits of $750.00 per term. Enrollment for 9 to 11 hours will be pro-rated at $563.00 per term.
- Maintain good academic standing as defined in the Sinclair Community College catalog "Grades" section (i.e., a GPA of 2.0 or higher).

CURRENT SCHOLARSHIPS (IN ORDER OF DEADLINE)
- Dr. G. James Pinchak Memorial Scholarship is offering multiple $1,000 scholarships for career technical students who are in good standing. Complete eligibility requirements and applications can be found at http://bit.ly/pinchakscholar Applications are due by March 1, 2020.
- Whirlpool Corporation - Wind Farm Scholarships is offering scholarships in the amount of $5,000 to high school seniors who live in one of the following counties: Darke, Preble, Miami, Montgomery, Mercer, Shelby, Auglaize, and Greene counties in Ohio. Applicants must have plans to complete a college education in a science, technology, engineering, or math (STEM) discipline at an accredited school. - Universal 1 Credit Union's 2020 Glen R. Kershner Memorial Scholarship are available online at www.u1cu.org. The scholarship is in the amount of $1,000 will be awarded to a high school senior who is a U1 member and considering post secondary education at an accredited college/university. Applications are due by March 9, 2020.
- Darrell Parks Student Scholarship is offering a $1,000 scholarship toward the continuing education of career-technical graduates. This is for career tech students only! Complete eligibility requirements and applications can be found at http://www.ohioacte.org/scholarship Applications are due by March 15, 2020.
- The Montgomery County, Ohio Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Foundation Scholarship is offering a scholarship for graduating seniors who are family members of a law enforcement officer, or intend to pursue a career in law enforcement, criminal justice, criminology, forensics, education or social work. Applications are in paper format and can be picked up in the counseling office. Applications must be postmarked by March 20, 2020.
- Vietnam Veterans of America Miami Valley Chapter 97 is offering a $1,000 scholarship to students entering a college or technical/trade school during the Fall 2020. Applicants must be a family member of a Vietnam Veteran and hold a minimum 2.5 GPA.. Complete scholarship details & applications are in paper format and can be picked up in the counseling office. Applications must be postmarked by March 30, 2020.
- Greater Ohio Valley Chapter of Women in Defense (WID) scholarship will support local high school students pursuing degrees/certifications in the STEM field with aspirations to work in the Defense Industry with a $2,000 scholarship. The application process will open March 1st and close at 5 p.m. EDT on March 31st. Complete eligibility requirements and applications can be found at scholarship@greaterohiovalleywid.com
- WPAFB Educational Fund is offering scholarship opportunities to children, and grandchildren of current active duty military or civilian employees at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. Students must be a graduating high school senior, have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher, and must score a minimum of 27 on their ACT or 1200 on their SAT. The application can be found at www.wpafbstem.com/pages/educationfund.html Applications are due by 4 p.m. on April 1, 2020.
- The William D. Squires Scholarship worth up to a value of $20,000 is available online at www.wmdsquiresfoundation.org Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.20, be highly motivated and of good character, already know their career goal, and must qualify for financial need based off of the FAFSA. Applications are being accepted from February 15th through April 5th.
- Milton Kantor & Brother's Scholarship is offering a one time non-renewable $1,000 scholarship. There may also be a 4 year renewable $2,000 scholarship awarded to one or more seniors. The applicant must be a Montgomery county resident, have at least a 2.5 GPA out of a 4.0 scale, complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), be accepted to and attend a four year accredited institution of higher education as a full time student. This application can be picked up in the counseling office. Applications are due by April 15, 2020 (turn into counseling office).
- Student-View Scholarship Program is offering scholarships ranging from $500 to $5000. There is no minimum SAT/ACT, no essay, and no lengthy applications. Students simply log on to www.student-view.com and complete a 15-20 minute application survey about colleges in their area. The scholarship deadline is April 22, 2020.
- PB&J Scholarship is a $500-$1000 scholarship that is looking for students who have experienced challenges in their life and who have the drive to succeed. This is open to college bound seniors who are planning on attending an accredited 2 year or 4 year college in the fall of 2020. The scholarship can be accessed by clicking here: http://bit.ly/pbjscholars2020 Applications are due by May 31, 2020.
- Injured Call Today Scholarship is available to all high school seniors who are planning on entering the medical field. This scholarship is for students attending a 4 year college/university or a 2 year community college for Spring of 2020. This scholarship is a one time award of $1000. - El Dabe Ritter Scholarship in the amount of $1,500 is available to high school seniors with a minimum of a 3.0 GPA who are enrolled in an accredited University in the Fall of 2020. Complete requirements and application can be found at: https://www.personalinjurylawyerslosangeles.com/#scholarship Applications must be submitted by June 30, 2020.
- City Property Management, an HOA management company with locations in Arizona is offering a $1,000 scholarship to any high school senior nationwide. Complete eligibility requirements and applications can be found at https://www.cityproperty.com/phoenix#scholarship-link Applications must be submitted by July 31, 2020.

SENIOR EXAM EXEMPTION POLICY FOR SECOND SEMESTER
Second Semester Senior Incentives:
A senior can exempt all Final EXAMS if:
· Earn A’s in all scheduled classes, accumulate 3 attendance marks or fewer combined and uphold Compliance with the Student Code of Conduct
· Earn B’s or higher in all scheduled classes, accumulate 2 attendance marks or fewer combined and uphold Compliance with the Student Code of Conduct
· Earn C’s or higher in all scheduled classes, accumulate 1 attendance mark or fewer combined and uphold Compliance with the Student Code of Conduct
A senior can exempt two Final EXAMS if:
· A senior can exempt two Exams if they Earn C’s or higher in all scheduled classes, accumulate 3 attendance marks or fewer combined and uphold Compliance with the Student Code of Conduct. A full description of senior incentives is attached.

Ohio Business Week will be hosted by Ohio University this year. Students will gain insight into what's possible in business and entrepreneurship. Ohio Business Week is centered around teams of students completing in an interactive business simulation that places them in vital roles as part of their own company.
