THREE CRITICAL QUESTIONS

Last year I outlined three critical questions that I believe every organization and business must be able to clearly define and communicate.

The three questions are:

1. Why do we exist?

2. What does success look like for us?

3. What do our actions demonstrate?

I want to keep these questions at the forefront of our minds and continue to communicate them. Over the next three weeks I will answer these questions in my newsletter.

This week I want to focus on the first question of "why do we exist?"

In the image above you see the mission statement of our school unapologetically displayed in the lobby of Champions Hall. We exist to develop the next generation of Godly leaders who will engage their culture and change it! ...Period... Don't miss magnitude of that statement. That mission statement is a tall order that we drive hard to deliver year after year here at Shiloh Christian School!

I know I reference this quote often but it is so true in the moment that we live in time:

“Purpose, is where your organizations distinctive gifts intersect with the needs of the World.”

- Joey Reiman

Our purpose at Shiloh is at the epicenter of the needs of our world. The quote above has been consistently on my heart for the past three years. I believe it has been because the mission statement of our school is the one thing we need above all else for the health and future of our Nation and that excites me!

I believe people in the community of Northwest Arkansas are truly craving an environment for their students that is chasing after truth (GOD), has a values based education on the foundation of scripture, and has a community of parents that are parenting in the same direction.

Next week I will answer question two! There is significant interest in Shiloh from the community. It is imperative that we remain focused on why we exist, what success looks like for us, and what our actions demonstrate. We want quality students and families at Shiloh that align with our school culture. We don't grow just to grow. We grow on purpose for a purpose.

The future is bright and exciting for Shiloh! I am beyond thankful for our families and the support you show! This is such a special place.

Lead NWA well this week!

REBECCA BLOUNT - ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL

We are happy to announce Rebecca Blount in her new role as the Elementary Assistant Principal for Student Services in the fall!

We are excited to announce Mrs. Blount as Assistant Principal! We will now have two Assistant Principals at our Springdale Campus. Mrs. Blount will work alongside Cole Lester (Assistant Principal) and Mrs. Foley (Principal) at our Springdale Elementary Campus! This position will help structure the elementary administrative staff to where they can better serve our students, teachers, and families!

Mrs. Blount comes from a multigenerational family of educators, following in her mother and grandmother's footsteps while sharing a passion for education with her two sisters. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Valdosta State University and a Master’s degree in Counseling and Higher Education Administration from Mississippi State University.

Mrs. Blount's teaching career began as a substitute in South Korea, right after her high school graduation (an early sign of the calling in her life.) In her career, she has worked in university and elementary settings including teaching Preschool, 4th grade, and 5th grade. Throughout her career, Rebecca has shown a passion for helping students achieve their personal best and has been a strong advocate for their academic and spiritual development. Her gift to teach and mentor our students is evident to all who meet her. She looks forward to supporting the elementary department in her new role as she shares her passion for excellence.

Rebecca and her husband, Billy, will celebrate their 20th wedding anniversary soon. They have two children, Katie Lane (13) and Matthew (10) who are students at Shiloh. #ShilohFamily
