Donors Choose

We will have teachers throughout the year post projects that will benefit our students. A way for teachers to get these projects or ideas funded is through a crowd-funding source called Donors Choose. Please click on the link below to access projects that have been posted for our teachers and consider funding and sharing with others through social media.

All of our classroom teachers will be using SeeSaw again this school year. This is an app where parents can see evidence and progress of their student's work and tasks within the classroom. SeeSaw will serve as a progress report each week where students and teachers will be uploading evidence of their progress each week. If you have not received your child's QR code for their SeeSaw account, please contact your child's teacher and they will be able to send that information home with your child.

For more information about SeeSaw for parents and how to download the app, please check out the link below.

What is a standards-based report card?
It’s all about student understanding and mastering a learning goal - and less about grades. A standards-based report card lists the most important skills students should learn in each subject at a particular grade level. Instead of letter grades, students receive marks or a code that shows how well they have mastered the skills.

For more information please visit www.acs-k12.org/sbrc

A parent meeting will be on September 24th (incorrect date was given at Orientation). The meeting will be at 5:30 at the Athens City Schools Board of Education.
