Bluebonnet Season At Saigling

Texas Bluebonnet Award is a unique program that encourages reading for pleasure and is aimed at students in grades 3-6.

This is a children's book award selected by the children!

Students in grades 3 – 6th may participate in voting for the Bluebonnet book of their choice. In order for a student to be eligible to vote, he/she must have read or have read to them five of the books on the master list. Saigling's 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders who wish to participate and have met the requirements will vote the last week in January.

3rd, 4th, and 5th graders are learning about the Bluebonnet Award as well as the Newbery and Caldecott Awards the next few weeks in the library. My Bluebonnet "Blue Cards" and more information will be coming.
