Hello, my name is Tara Gidden. I am the lead teacher in the One’s class. This is my 15th year at St. Davids Day School. I find inspiration everyday through work with the little ones and knowing that I am part of their first school experience. I have held two child Associates Degrees, One in PreSchool and Child Development and the other in Infant Curriculum, Development and Care.

I live in Webberville, Tx on a farm and have two wonderful children. I love running and spending time with my children and my dogs.

Hey guys! Im Colette 😊 I’m excited to be assisting Ms. Tara in the One’s Class this semester, as well as working in the office as Assistant Director at SDDS. I graduated from Indiana University with a BA in Fine Arts, Majoring in Photography and Drawing and Painting, along with a minor in International Studies and minor in Spanish. I studied abroad and lived in Costa Rica for part of college and even had the opportunity to assist in scientific research during their Arrivada for the Olive Ridley Sea turtles. I love to travel and explore new places, learn about anything and everything possible, and listen to stories and insight from everyone I meet along the way. My favorite insight to life is always from a child, and believe they are the most authentic and genuine people to surround myself with. I’ve worked at St. David’s Day School for 6 years after moving from Chicago to Austin, and am happy this school and city have become my home!
