What happened? What's happening? Where?
It lives in shallow creeks and pounds in the mountains of North Carolina and Tennessee. Water pollution is having a hard hit on the reproductive cycles and distribution. People are now trying to revers the pollution and the damage it has done to the habitats of surviving populations. More research is being done so we can more effectively protect and help them thrive again.
