The PWA was created to help people find a job in the Great Depression. It was headed by Secretary of Interior Harold L. Ickes. It was created by the National Industrial Recovery Act of june 1933.

This program got a budget of billions of dollars to help people with the Great Depression.It gave them jobs to get industry going again and it brought the stocks up and they got going again to.

How it was formed

It was formed by Harold Ickes and his friends recommended by the president and they made it happened and this was one of the most important founding's of the great depression because it gave people hope.This program also constructed more than 34,000 projects also in a period over 6 years.
