SBHS Walks with Parkland
- On Wednesday, March 14th SBHS students will have the option of Walking with Parkland.
- With the support of our police department, access to high school parking lots and building will be limited during this event. Therefore, we will not permit visitors from 9:15 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and access to the parking lots will be blocked for this brief period.
- If you need to sign your child out, please do so prior to 9:15 a.m. or plan to pick up after 10:45 a.m.
- If your child does need to be picked up due to an emergency situation during that time, notify the school and of course we will manage for this to occur.
The South Brunswick Administration and Board of Education have been extremely impressed by the students’ desire to advocate and support the families who have lost loved ones in the recent tragedy in Parkland, FL. The Walk with Parkland event has been planned in great detail by a committee of students, teachers, administration and the police. Safety has been part of every planning decision.
We commend our students for the message they are sending and for taking the initiative to honor these families and also advocate for safer schools. Most impressive is their call for “What’s your 17?” The message is clear that it is not enough to walk, but it is important that each of us, students and adults, consider what 17 things we can do to better our schools, our society and to better the life of another. We will be proudly walking alongside our students and considering what our 17 will be.

From April 3rd-5th prom packets will be collected for South Brunswick SENIORS only. This is to ensure that all SBHS Seniors can attend. During this time ALL seniors must hand in their packet to reserve their spot regardless of whether you are planning to bring a non-SBHS Senior date.
Packet collection will reopen from April 9-12 for GUESTS. A guest can be either a SBHS student or an out of district student (under 21), who is attending the prom with an SBHS Senior. It will be first come first serve by lunch, so A lunch will not have an advantage over C lunch. Once the second round of packet collection begins, SBHS Seniors no longer have priority, so make sure you turn in your packets during the first round of packet collection!
