Pasco Feeding Students
Here is a helpful resource to receive FREE food from our school district during this time. All students in need qualify for this free resource. The District is just asking for each family to complete a meal request form before heading to the specified site, that way they have enough meals ready to hand out. Please see the link below for more information and to fill out a meal request form.
Distance Learning Resources- continuously updated

FAQs
Pasco County Schools has created a set of Frequently Asked Questions and posted them on our website to assist with answering questions for staff, students, and parents. You can access the FAQs at this link right below the video from Superintendent Browning.
Below the FAQs we have provided a button where parents or staff can submit questions or suggestions that are not covered in the FAQs. This marks our first use of the new Let’s Talk platform.
Gary Joiner Property Appraiser Contest
Gary Joiner, the Pasco County Property Appraiser is hosting their annual essay contest through the end of March. This essay is different than the last essay contest that was just facilitated for the Mike Fasano, Tax Collector. Last year our very own Nathan Hull won this contest and received amazing gifts from the Tax Collector’s office.
Please be sure to share all entries to jwarren@pasco.k12.fl.us electronically by 3/27 so that we can submit them to the Property Appraiser’s office by the deadline of 3/31.

IB Learner Profile of the Month: Balanced
March- Balanced
As a PVMS Family, we focus on a different Learner Profile (a trait that we strive to display to become the best people possible) every month. For March we are focusing on being Balanced. We are Balanced when we understand the importance of finding harmony between the intellectual, physical and emotional elements of our lives. PVMS staff members are issuing PBIS Points to students who are displaying that they are Balanced. Teachers will also be choosing students for “Student of the Month” who are an example to others in exemplifying that they are Balanced. We encourage students to wear blue on Fridays during March to represent our Learner Profile of the month.
You will see signs displaying the Learner Profiles throughout the school. The profiles are also posted above the white board in each classroom. Teachers have a second set of magnetic Learner Profiles that will make it easier to highlight which Profiles are relevant to the current classroom activity.

Odyssey of the Mind
Enjoy thinking outside the box? Join Odyssey of the Mind! Participating in Odyssey of the Mind provides you the opportunity to learn creative problem solving, teamwork and self-reliance while having fun solving a problem and creating a presentation with your own ideas and those of your team mates. Although you have an adult coach (usually a parent) to support and advise you, all the ideas and the work on the solution come from the team members. It all culminates in a multi-school regional competition in late February/early March and a chance for the highest scored teams to compete at the State Tournament in Orlando and maybe even the OM World Finals.
Interested students (and adults interested in coaching a team) can complete the form at: https://pvms.pasco.k12.fl.us/4297-2/
For more information please contact Pine View’s OM coordinator Nilsa Calabria, by email at ncalabri@pasco.k12.fl.us, or by phone at (813) 794-4800, Ext. 44901 or (813) 618-8995.

Staff Shout Outs!
Ms. Fromm leads the yearbook staff at PVMS. This is usually the highlight of my daughter's day. Ms. Fromm creates a great culture among the members of this group where they are accepting and open-minded of each other. Also, Ms. Fromm allows students to have a large amount of responsibility and creativity. As a parent, it is wonderful to know my child this time where is feels accepted, creative, and productive. She always comes home from yearbook with a smile on her face.
