Class of 2025 Newsletter
December 2022
A Message From Your 2025 Team:
The holiday season, a joyous time to celebrate with friends and family. Also a time to share thanks and gratitude for a full year, and what a year it has been. The Class of 2025 has embraced their sophomore year with open arms. We are very proud of their growth. As we push through to the final two weeks of the semester we want to remind students to attend their tutorials, ask for help and attend school on time daily. The final stretch of any semester can be challenging but there is support to help.
Please do not hesitate to contact the Grade Level Team with any questions, concerns or good news you would like to share with us.

Attendance Notice
Helix Families,
During the final three weeks of school before winter break, we are grateful to everyone for helping to restore a routine for showing up to school while supporting students and families.
We appreciate everyone’s efforts to avoid taking extra time before and after the winter break. As long as your student is healthy, please encourage showing up to class when school is in session.
Every day of school is an important opportunity for students to learn as well as to connect to their peers and teachers.
We thank:
● Our students and their families who do their best to show up daily even when it isn’t easy.
● Our teachers who go above and beyond to make school a welcoming and safe place for all students to learn.
● Our counselors, school social workers and administrators who help us work together to ensure we create a physically and emotionally safe and engaging learning environment.
● Our many, many healers and helpers - the support staff who provide the extra hands and attention our children need.
We appreciate each one of you. May these days off be restful and healing.
If your family or your student needs support, please reach out to your Grade Level Team for assistance.

Class of 2025 11th Grade Course Request Info Night: Thursday, 1/19/23
Please join the Class of 2025 Grade Level Team on Thursday, 1/19/23 at 6:00pm via ZOOM, as we discuss what to expect for the upcoming school year. We will review graduation requirements, course options, four-year plans and everything you need to know about selecting classes for next year.
The Wellness Center will continue to operate as a drop-in center where students and staff can walk-in before school, during lunch, or after school without an appointment. Students who walk-in during class times with lower level concerns will be sent to their Grade Level Team (GLT) Counselor.
It is the Wellness Center’s goal to keep students in their classes during class time, therefore if there is a situation where a student asks to visit the Wellness Center during class time, that student will be sent to their GLT. Grade Level Counselors or Principals will assess the situation and then, if needed, make a referral to the appropriate Grade Level Social Worker.
