The Stoffle Gazette

News from this week
It’s hard to believe next week is the last week of school! The year has flown by, and it feels like just yesterday that I was meeting your children for the first time. I have truly enjoyed teaching each and everyone of them and I will definitely miss them when they move on to 5th grade.
Fortunately we were able to hold Field Day this morning and the kids had a great time. We finished 2nd overall among the 4th graders and we even won a few relays! Though it was a little chilly, the rain held off. Thank you to all the parents who volunteered on Field day! You helped everything run smoothly and we couldn't have done it without you. I took lots of pictures so I will download them and make them available for you to see once I do.
Friday folders came home today for the last time. They do NOT need to be returned on Monday.
Here are a few Dos and Don’ts for next week:
DO bring your yearbook on Monday, but leave it home the rest of the week. The fourth grade will have a time for students to meet and sign yearbooks on Monday. We will also make “memory books” for students to sign.
DO bring your backpack on the last day of school. We will be sending home important items AND students will need their bus tag for the ride home.
DO empty your child’s backpack each night. I will send home a few folders, notebooks, and workbooks each day. Please empty the backpack so that there is room for more items the next day!
DON’T bring devices on the last day. I would hate it if a student forgot their device on Wednesday! Let’s have all devices safe at home on Tuesday.
The 4th grade Awards Day will be held on Tuesday, May 24rd at 12:00. A letter will be coming home in the Friday Folder if your child is receiving an award. Last, our class party will be held on Monday, May 23rd from 12:30-1:30 and we will be having ice cream sundaes.
Here are the remaining days for our countdown for The Last 26 Days of School
Week of 5/23-25
X-X-tra fun day
Y-Year end clean up day
Z-Zip out of school day
I hope everyone has a great weekend!
