Mrs. Walter loves the color purple and spending time with her family. How lucky are we to have her smiling face and positive spirit lifting us up everyday?? Thanks for being awesome, Mrs. Walter!
Events & Reminders:
-The 15 Days of December starts on Monday, November 30th. You can wear jeans if you participate in the daily themes, and students are encouraged to participate as well!
-Writing Checkpoint 3 for 4th grade and Science Checkpoint 2 for 5th grade will be on Tuesday, December 1. Reading Checkpoint 3 for grades 3-5 will be on Thursday, December 3. Math Checkpoint 2 for grades 3-5 will be on Wednesday, December 9.
-Please plan to attend a brief PTA meeting following dismissal on Tuesday, December 1.
-Wednesday, December 2 is an early release day for students, and affinity meetings/curriculum roll-outs will be held for staff members. Staff members attending RELA meetings need to bring Performance Indicator artifacts from Bundle 2, copies of Bundle 3, and a list of high yield strategies. Math participants need to bring student examples of Performance Indicators, and Science participants need to bring student examples from the STEMScopes anchor labs.
-ICLE consultant Diane Ashley will be on campus on Thursday, December 3rd.

Gigantic shout out to this guy for continuing to work with students to make our WPE garden look fantastic. Thank you for all you do, Mr. Guajardo!!
Lightbulb!
What a great idea! Mrs. Barrera keeps a tub of student-created books for her students to utilize during Read to Self... and they LOVE it! Yay!!
Hot to Trot
Thanks to everyone who helped make this year's Turkey Trot a huge success! Especially Coach Castle for organizing the event and coordinating another round of successful donations. (PS- Thank you, Mother Nature, for a beautiful day!)

In a humble state, you learn better. I can't find anything else very exciting about humility, but at least there's that.
