Alumni Spotlight: Jason Brigman
Brother Jason Brigman ZX 154 was initiated January 11, 1995. Soon after, he transferred to the University of West Florida (Zeta Iota) where he served as corresponding secretary. From here, life happened- he met his wife Laura and was married in 1998. Almost 5 years passed until he made the decision to return to Southern Miss in 2003 and finish his bachelors in Political Science. During this period, he served as a mentor to the executive and administrative committees and would eventually serve as Assistant Chapter Advisor for the remainder of his time in Hattiesburg. In 2005 he moved to Jackson, MS before relocating to Houston in 2006 where he currently resides. From here, his career flourished. For three years he worked in process automation and safety systems for Petra Chemical Refining Operations. When the oil market crashed in 2010, he joined Chicago Bridge and Iron as a project control auditor. Since then, he has taken a supervisory role with the company and traveled around the world, visiting Latin America, South America, the UK, Europe, Asia, Russia, the Middle East and Australia. Today, his duties include writing procedures for global operations, scheduling costs controls and forecasting large risk analysis.
Brother Brigman has maintained an oath inspired commitment to fraternity service. In 2008 he joined the Alumni Advisory Team at Sam Houston State (Epsilon Zeta) and became Division Vice President for Texas A&M (Zeta Sigma) in 2009. In that capacity, he has also served on several Alumni Superadvisory Committees. Finally, he has served as the chairman of the sergeant at arms committee for the 2014 and 2016 Karneas, an honor previously held by Charlie Johnson ZX96 for more than a decade.
Maintaining a healthy balance between professional life, fraternal service and an unwavering presence in the lives of his wife Laura and his children Victoria and Alex is a priority for Brother Brigman. He maintains that Delta Tau Delta set an example of leadership in his life that is directly responsible for his personal and professional success and believes that he has a duty to preserve a legacy of opportunity for the young men who follow. Today, Jason would tell you that what keeps him involved in Delta Tau Delta is as simple as his oath. He believes the lifelong Delt experience is "what you make of it". "Wherever you go, you have brothers. If you accept and take to heart your oath and our charge, a true benefit awaits".

Active Member Spotlight: Andrew Robertson
Andrew “Furg” Robertson is a Junior Environmental Biology major and currently serves as Zeta Chi’s Treasurer. From Saraland Alabama, he is the youngest of 5 siblings and a graduate of McGill Toolen Catholic High School.
His decision to attend Southern Miss was due to the university programs as well as the scholarships offered to him. With a probable minor in chemistry, Andrew hopes to pursue a masters in environmental conservation. While his bucket list includes traveling abroad in Europe and hiking the Appalachian Trail, Andrew hopes to settle in the southeastern region of the US as he appreciates southern culture and southern gulf south ecosystems. He has a strong appreciation for nature and being surrounded by wildlife, grounded in fond memories of hiking as a child.
Andrew’s decision to join Delta Tau Delta grew out of a familial influence as his mother was a Kappa Delta at Ole Miss and encouraged him to seek out greek life. Through a broad experience with greek life, Andrew knows he made the right decision by joining Delt. “It was like joining a sports team with guys from all walks of life; you might have personal differences, but you share a common goal. Working through those differences has helped me feel more connected to my brothers; I feel I have as much to teach as to learn”. Reflecting on the value of his membership “Stepping up and taking roles I didn’t expect has helped me have a fulfilling experience; the more I become involved the more Delt means to me. The fraternity has helped me conquer my weaknesses; You truly get out of Delt what you put into it”.
In his spare time, you can catch Andrew performing with the “Stage Monkeys” a Southern Miss Improv ensemble.
