From the PTO Presidents
Happy Monday, NBS!
We have so many exciting events happening this Spring, including an amazing Virtual Gallery Night, the Spring Virtual Book Fair, Field Day, and our Executive Board Open House! Please read on to find out details on all of these amazing events!
We are looking for new volunteers!
We are looking forward to our first-ever Executive Board Open House, on May 4th at 8:15 am at NBS. Live! In-Person! We are always so fortunate to have parent volunteers from the NBS community to help achieve incredible events, programming, and services for our amazing school. As we excitedly look ahead to the 2021-2022 school year, the district is prepared to continue full-day and in-person learning for those that elect it. As a PTO, we hope to resume many of our favorite events and programs for the school.
While we are unable to fully forecast the future, we want to be prepared with an army of volunteers when the opportunities arise. Join us on May 4th at school and get to know what our Executive Board does, and what other committees help keep the PTO running. We are excited to meet some new faces and to welcome back some familiar ones.
Hope to see you all then,
Ilana and Amy
VIRTUAL GALLERY NIGHT Hop On In!
April 21 through May 5th
Goody Bags! Raffle Prizes! Scavenger Hunt! IT’S GALLERY NIGHT IN YOUR HOME!
VIRTUAL Gallery Night (the NBS All-School Art Show) launches Wednesday, April 21st, and will be live through May 5th! On April 21st the day of the Launch, every NBS student will receive a Gallery Night Goody Bag to bring home, filled with treats plus the much-beloved Scavenger Hunt. Goody Bags for remote students will be available for pick up in the NBS lobby starting on Wednesday (4/21) through May 5th.
Cuddle on Couch and Enter a World of Art!
SHARE the link with family and friends! Pick a night during our Virtual Week (or two or three nights - access the link as often as you like while it is live) and have FUN browsing the online gallery with your child! Share treats! Oooh and Ahhh over the art! And, as always, you have the opportunity to purchase your student’s professionally framed art. FRAMED PRINTS of your student’s original work are available as always - but now Grandma can pick up her own print if she wants!! (or you can send her one ;)) This year, framed art can be delivered directly to your home (or the home of whoever you are ordering for) for a small delivery charge, or you can choose to pick up your art at the school (no delivery charge). As always, you do not have to purchase the framed piece and your child will bring the unframed piece home.
Bunnylicious Raffle!
We are also having our traditional raffle of art-prize baskets! Every child at NBS will receive ONE raffle ticket which they can deposit during school hours in the Art Raffle Basket of their choice (the baskets were created by the fabulous Mrs. Siddons who will wheel the cart around the school for kids to deposit!) AND students who successfully complete the bunnylicious scavenger hunt included in the Goody Bag and turn it in to Mrs. Siddons, will get an EXTRA raffle ticket and EXTRA chance to win a raffle basket!
“See” you there!

NBS PTO Fundraising
No Stress Fundraising
Traditionally, we would be preparing for our biennial Adult Social, which is our biggest fundraising event of the year. We are postponing this event until the 2021-2022 school year. We have decided as a Board to open up a “No Stress” fundraiser where parents can contribute as much as they want directly to the PTO without purchasing any extra products or attending fundraising events. We will be in touch with all of the details!
Easy Fundraising!
Did you know that you can help support NBS by clicking a button and shopping normally? We have partnered with both Amazon Smile and Heinens to provide us with a small percentage of all of your purchases! Everything is automatic and there are no extra steps for you once you enroll. See below for more information on how to enroll.
Please direct all Fundraising questions and ideas to Amy Vandenbergh, at amykballet@gmail.com. Thank you for your support!
