Keys of Excellence
COMMITMENT – Make your dreams happen
Take positive action. Follow your vision without wavering.
Commitment is the breathtaking moment of making a compelling decision, jumping in, and going forward with gusto. Once a commitment is made, indecision is eliminated—there is no more “Should I or shouldn’t I?” … “Will I or won’t I?” A commitment is not made lightly—it’s about making a decision so strong that there is no going back … like a skydiver who has jumped from the plane!
The decisive act of making a commitment—when we decide to do “whatever it takes” to reach a goal—sets in motion an energy field that propels us forward on our path. At each step along the way, our commitment inspires us to take positive action and overcome obstacles, and pushes us on until we “make it happen.”

Spares That We Share- A supply of pants and shirts is kept in the Health Room for students who occasionally need a change of clothing. Donations of used athletic type pants in sizes 4-16 for both boys and girls are appreciated. If our spares are borrowed, please be sure to return them the next day as we will wash them and have them available if needed again.
Influenza-There were a few confirmed cases of Influenza in Johnson County starting in December and it is likely we will see more in January and February. Commonly called the “flu”, symptoms are a sore throat, cough, body aches and a high fever and can last up to 2 weeks. If your student develops these symptoms, they should see a doctor right away.
What's Going Around- We have had several cases of respiratory illness and nausea and vomiting. Please ensure that your students are remaining home until they are free from fever and/or vomiting for 24 hours without the use of medication. Also please be aware that hand sanitizer is not effective against many diarrheal diseases. Please encourage good hand washing habits at home.
