PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Tuesday, March 22, 2022
Dear SFX Family,
On behalf of the school, I want to say THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts for such a successful Boosterthon Fun Run. Not only did we crush our goal, but the students learned about curiosity, practice, confidence, humility, and endurance in their daily Team Huddles. We have our post program meeting on Friday where we will get our exact number, but we know that we raised over $38,000 to create our STEM Lab! Thank you for supporting and sharing!
Tomorrow we will have School Mass at 9:00 AM, and on Thursday we will have Reconciliation for Grades 2-7. Spring Pictures will also take place on Thursday. Picture forms were sent home today. Students may wear free dress for the picture and remain in their picture clothes or change into their uniform. This Friday, the Knights of Columbus will host another Lenten Fish Fry from 5:30-8:30 PM.
Camp Jaguar Registration and Summer Cabbage Ball Sign-ups are Saturday from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM in Mansfield Auditorium. Camp Jaguar forms will be emailed tomorrow, and the Cabbage Ball form is attached below or linked here. Saturday evening, the Father/Daughter Dance will take place in St. Joseph Hall from 7-10. Tickets can be purchased on the FB&T portal. We hope to see you there!
Lastly, please join the Men's Club on Sunday for the Blood Drive in honor of Lee Montgomery. There is a great need for blood in our area.
I hope you have a great rest of the week!
May God bless you and keep you,
Jessica

OLD METAIRIE FEST
It’s hard to believe but the SFX Old Metairie Fest is just a couple weeks away! We are so excited for our community to come together to enjoy good food and fabulous entertainment.
As you are all aware, each family is required to volunteer to work a two-hour shift the day of the fair. We have provided the link to the SignUpGenius below, as well as the performance schedule. (The schedule is also on the SignUpGenius.)
Please note from the Student Parent Handbook:
The School budget is designed to maximize the educational opportunities for our students. Fundraising activities are a vital component in allowing St. Francis to meet our goals while endeavoring to keep tuition costs reasonable. Old Metairie Fest is our main fundraising effort each year. Parents are required to work a minimum of 2 hours in support of this event. These service hours may be worked on the day of the event in set-up, booth supervision, or takedown following the festival. The committee welcomes your assistance in the many planning and preparation activities which lead up to Old Metairie Fest.
If you have an extenuating circumstance and want to submit an exemption for this requirement, please email sfxoldmetairiefest@gmail.com. Any emails received will be given to the school administration for review to make a final determination.
Family support is a critical factor in the fair’s success. We sincerely appreciate your help!
