To the Moon and Back
Lincoln Elementary Student Receives Special Badge from NASA
Congratulations to Kendall Smith, a third grader at Lincoln Elementary, for earning a badge that traveled to the moon and back.
Smith, a Daisy-level member of Girl Scout Troop 6791, is one of 81 winners across the country to win the space science badge that has been to space on NASA’s Artemis I. To win the award, Smith competed in a national essay competition.

GJPS Summer School Program
Mark your calendar! Registration for the GJPS Journey to Learning Summer School Program opens Monday, April 17, 2023 at NOON.
More registration information will be available soon. The actual link to register will not be active until April 17, 2023 at noon.
Preschool
The Gahanna-Jefferson Preschool Program recently hosted their second Family Fun Night which included a bounce house, carnival games, a disco dance and bubble party and much more!
Goshen Lane Elementary
Fourth-grade students at Goshen Lane Elementary showcased their knowledge of events leading up to the signing of the Declaration of Independence by sharing presentations, posters and shadow boxes with younger students and family members.
Thank you, teachers, for this wonderful opportunity to highlight our students and their understanding of our American history.
Middle School East
Middle School East sixth graders were excited to learn from Anthony Oliveri, an Egyptologist, this week. They heard about his time in Egypt, the history of King Tutankhamun and were able to ask questions.
Lincoln High School
On Wednesday, March 23, 2023, schools across GJPS celebrated Spread the Word to End the Word Day. This is a time that we recognize and celebrate our students of ALL abilities!

Phase Two Projects
Building Pride for Our Future
In November 2020, voters in the Gahanna-Jefferson Public Schools district approved a bond and operating levy to fund Phase Two of the GJPS Master Facilities Plan.
Phase Two of the Master Facilities Plan Includes:
- Additions and renovations to High Point and Blacklick Elementary
- Additions and renovations to Middle School East
- New Lincoln High School on current site
BinaxNOW At-Home Rapid Test Kits Available for Symptomatic Students and Staff
BinaxNOW At-Home COVID-19 Rapid Test Kits are currently available for students and staff currently enrolled in GJPS schools who are EXHIBITING SYMPTOMS of COVID-19.
REQUEST FORM MUST BE COMPLETED IN ADVANCE
While supplies last, you may request kits for:
The number of students you have enrolled in Gahanna-Jefferson Public Schools in your household who are exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19.
The number of GJPS staff in your household who are exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19.
A confirmation email will not be sent.
PLEASE WEAR A MASK WHEN PICKING UP A RAPID TEST AT THE ADMINISTRATION BUILDING

After completing a Rapid Test Kit Request Form, kits are available for pick up at:
