What Causes Acne?

Several people believe acne is caused by a rise in your androgen levels. The rising of the androgen levels causes oil glands under your skin to grow which then cause more oil to produce. Acne can also be genetically developed. If your parents had a really bad case of acne you may inherit those genes.

How Can I Treat My Acne?

Before treating your acne determine how severe your acne really is. On a mild case of acne you will probably get by using over the counter medications without a doctors note. Some of these medicines could be used: Clean and Clear, Neutrogena, and Proactive. If you are treating major cases of acne you may want to visit a dermatologist. He will determine what kind off medicine you should use and in what form it should be applied in.
